01Who can request
Any natural person whose personal data is processed by Nexus may request deletion, under article 18, VI of the Brazilian LGPD. This includes:
- Visitors of the institutional website nexusdealer.com.br.
- Authorized users who received communications from Nexus through the WhatsApp Business channel.
- Business contacts whose data (name, email, phone) was shared with Nexus during prospecting or partnership interactions.
02How to file the request
Send an email to security@nexusdealer.com.br with the subject "Data deletion request" and the following elements in the body:
- Full name of the data subject.
- Identifiers tied to the processing: email, phone with country/area code (if WhatsApp channel), or any other reference that allows the records to be located.
- Statement that the request is from the data subject or a duly authorized legal representative.
- Confirmation of the email address where the response should be delivered.
To validate identity, we may ask for additional confirmation before executing the deletion, proportional to the risk and sensitivity of the data involved.
03Quick path to leave the WhatsApp channel
To revoke consent for WhatsApp communications immediately, send any of the following keywords in any message of the chat with Nexus, in any language and case-insensitive: SAIR, PARAR, STOP, EXIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, SALIR, BAJA, STOPP or ABMELDEN. The opt-out is recorded automatically and outbound messages stop. Full deletion of historical data from the channel follows the procedure described above.
04What will be deleted
Upon a valid request, we will delete all personal data under our direct control that identifies the data subject, including:
- Name, phone, email and other contact identifiers.
- History of messages exchanged through the WhatsApp Business channel.
- Technical channel events tied to the data subject (delivery, read, opt-out).
- Operational identifiers associated with the data subject in Nexus systems.
05What may be retained
Some data may legitimately be retained after the deletion request, under article 16 of the LGPD:
- Proof of opt-in/opt-out for the WhatsApp channel: retained for 6 months for audit and compliance evidence.
- Pseudonymized technical logs: retained for up to 12 months for security and fraud prevention.
- Communication records required by a legal or regulatory obligation, for the duration set by law.
- Data strictly necessary for contract performance between Nexus and the client that authorized the processing, while the contract is in force.
In every case, our response will indicate which data was effectively deleted and which was retained, with the respective legal basis.
06Data held by Meta (WhatsApp)
Nexus' WhatsApp Business channel runs on number +55 11 5304-3440, on top of infrastructure provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. and Meta Platforms Inc. Meta keeps its own platform metadata (delivery, read, phone number) under separate policies. To request deletion directly from Meta, refer to:
- WhatsApp Privacy Policy.
- WhatsApp Help Center for direct requests to Meta.
07Response time
Nexus responds to deletion requests within 15 calendar days from the receipt of a complete and validated request, in line with guidance from the Brazilian Data Protection Authority (ANPD). For cases of high technical complexity, we may communicate an extended deadline with justification.
08No cost
The exercise of the right to deletion is free of charge, under article 18, §5 of the LGPD.
09If you disagree
If you disagree with Nexus' decision on your request, you may petition the Brazilian Data Protection Authority (ANPD) directly at gov.br/anpd.
